Dr. Al-Shabil is President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) since 2003. He joined the company in 1990 as Executive Vice President Operations and progressed to his current position as Executive Vice President, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining AEC, Dr. Al-Shabil worked in the Ministry of Interior, General Directorate of Projects and as a Teaching Assistant in King Saud University. He holds a number of Directorships including National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, Malath Cooperative Insurance & Reinsurance Company, General Organization of Social Insurance. Dr. Al-Shabil also chairs several Boards including International Systems Engineering (ISE). Dr. Al-Shabel gained his B Sc. in Civil Engineering with honours from King Saudi University, Riyadh in 1982. His M.Sc in Engineering Management and Doctorate were gained from George Washington University in 1986 and 1990 respectively. Dr. Al-Shabil has attended a number of engineering and management programs including Japanese Technologies Management at MIT and an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
